My parents have long called it Calcutta during its charming early 2000s, but Kolkata is just a memory engrained with old pictures of me being taken in a stroller through Hyde Park and Fort Williams when I was a year old.
Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to this city with so many memories through pictures that I had to see what this place was all about. My memories and stories became vivid as I visited the many places my parents would take me in my stroller while nostalgia swept my mind.
Kolkata, even to this day for travellers old and new, resonates as a portal back in time for artistic and literary minds. The city exhales nostalgia with their pristine old-time British colonial architecture, and their parks house their oldest and ancient trees that have stood the test of time.
